Kate DiNatale

Elementary Academic Dean

Kate studied to be a teacher in college and got her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2013. She then taught English, math, and science to elementary students in Budapest, Hungary, for two years. She joined the Springfield Prep community as a founder of third grade in 2016. Kate earned her Master's Degree in reading and writing from UMass Amherst in 2021, where she became a licensed Reading Specialist. At Springfield Prep, she has worked as a third- and fourth-grade teacher as well as a Grade Level Chair for fourth grade, an instructional coach, and a literacy trainer, where she supports associate teachers in learning how to teach reading. She will continue to teach fourth grade this year and serve as an Upper Elementary Academic Dean to support teachers and students in grades 3-5 in driving our mission forward.
