A Message from our Board of Trustees

Dear Springfield Prep Community,

We are very pleased to share an important leadership update as Springfield Prep looks ahead to its next chapter.

After a rigorous and thorough search process, the Board of Trustees is thrilled to announce that it has selected Meghan Wagner, the school’s Chief Operating & Financial Officer, as Springfield Prep Charter School’s next Executive Director, effective April 1, 2026.

Meghan brings more than fifteen years of public education leadership experience and a decade of commitment to Springfield Prep’s mission and community.

Meghan brings more than fifteen years of leadership experience in public education and is known for her collaborative problem-solving approach, ability to bring people together, and consistent focus on results for students and families. Since coming to Springfield Prep ten years ago, Meghan has led Springfield Prep’s operations, finance, and HR work. She has played a key role in the school’s growth by managing the school’s budget, overseeing the construction of our new school building, and leading important teacher, staff, and student initiatives. All along, she has supported instructional leaders in leading a student-centered, data-driven approach to learning. 

Throughout the selection process, Meghan demonstrated a strong record of achieving results for students and families, deep alignment with Springfield Prep’s mission and values, and the ability to lead complex systems with clarity, steadiness, and care. The Board is confident in her readiness to lead and her commitment to sustaining what is working well while continuing to strengthen the school for the future.

Between now and April 1, Meghan will work closely with Founder and Executive Director Bill Spirer and the Board to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition, with a continued focus on stability and excellence for students, families, and staff.

We are grateful to our community for its partnership and support, and we look forward to working together in the months ahead as Springfield Prep enters this next chapter of leadership.
